Dennis A. Priebat, MD, FACP is a Senior Attending Physician in Medical Oncology at the Washington Cancer Institute at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC) and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. He is the past Section Director of Medical Oncology and former Program Director of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at MWHC. He has had a long-standing interest in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas (including GIST) and has been involved in multiple clinical research studies. He was a Sarcoma Track Leader for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committee, has served on the Board of Directors of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS), and is one of the initial members of the Sarcoma Alliance for Research Through Collaboration (SARC) group.
