Interventional Pain medicine is a sub-specialty of the medical specialty devoted to use of interventions like facet injections,epidural steroid injections,peripheral nerve blocks , peripheral joint injections for targeted management of pain non-responsive to conservative measures.These interventions are extremely helpful for moderate to severe pain and trial of these injections is suggested sometimes over surgical options.
