Krishnan Venkatesan, MD, is the Director of Urologic Reconstruction at Washington Hospital Center. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Venkatesan completed a residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine Department of Urology. He was a Clinical Fellow in Genitourinary Reconstruction at the Institute of Urology University College London Hospital in London, United Kingdom. He also completed a fellowship in Urethral Reconstruction at Kulkarni Institute for Urethral Reconstruction in Pune, India, and was a Visiting Fellow in Urologic Reconstruction at the Sava Perovic Foundation in Belgrade, Serbia.
Dr. Venkatesan is a member of the American Association of Physicians from India, American Medical Association, American Urological Association and the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons. He has been published in multiple publications, abstracts and editorials and has presented around the United States on various urology topics.
Dr. Venkatesan has been presented with several awards for his work. He is fluent in English and Tamil (South India) and proficient in Portuguese and Spanish.
