Nada Yazigi, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist certified in transplant medicine. She treats patients ages infant through 21 with liver and intestinal disorders. Dr. Yazigi cares for patients before and after transplantation at The Transplant Center for Children at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
The ever-changing intellectual challenge of transplantation led Dr. Yazigi to the specialty. She embraces MedStar Georgetown's philosophy of treating the whole patient and focuses on including patients and their families in decision making about care. Her young patients' way of seeing the bright side of things and how they deal with their diseases inspires Dr. Yazigi.
Dr. Yazigi is involved in clinical and translational research, studying liver and intestinal transplant outcomes. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Transplantation and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
