Rex Hung, MD is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital and MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. As a part of MedStar Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Hung specializes in complex wound reconstruction and functional restoration of the injured limb.
Dr. Hung earned his Medical Doctorate at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. His career began at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital through a six-year residency with the department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Hung has been published in several prestigious publications including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Wounds, and the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery. He is a five-time recipient of the String of Pearls Award for Medical Student Education and is fluent in spoken Mandarin.
