The basis for my practice has always involved the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and its complications. I spent 18 years as a full-time attending surgeon at the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, and the remainder of my professional time has been centered at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. I am known throughout the Maryland Orthopaedic community as a problem solver, and my practice has a large percentage of patients referred from other orthopaedic surgeons for care. My areas of expertise include fracture care, including acute injuries and late complications. These would include osteomyelitis (infection of bone), malunion (fractures that heal in less than optimal positions), and nonunion (fractures that fail to unite).
