Dr. Stephen B. Baker is a board certified plastic surgeon who practices all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and is a nationally recognized expert in plastic surgery of the face. Dr. Baker has both dental and medical degrees and has completed eleven years of plastic surgery training at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania. This expertise is applied to all of his patients in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Baker's philosophy and approach to aesthetic surgery has been featured in magazines and newspapers such as Elle, Allure, The London Times, Newsweek, The Washington Post, and many others. He has also appeared on local and national news programs including ABC World News Tonight, Nightline, NBC National Nightly News, and The Learning Channel. Dr. Baker has been recognized as one of Castle and Connolly's Top Plastic surgeons since 2005, and he has been ranked in the top 1% of plastic surgeons nationally by U.S. News and World Report. He has been named in Washingtonian's Top Docs, Northern Virginia Magazine's Best Doctors 2009, Virginia Living's Top Doctors, America's Top Doctors, America's Best Doctors, and one of America's Top Plastic Surgeons.
The Medstar Georgetown University Hospital Department of Plastic Surgery is one of the premiere plastic surgery practices in the United States, and keeps Dr. Baker at the forefront of the latest advances in plastic surgery. Dr. Baker actively engages in IRB approved research and clinical trials to improve the clinical care he brings to his patients. He has won awards for the quality of his contributions to the specialty and has several patents for plastic surgery inventions.
