About the Provider

Dr. Gupta is a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist providing consultation and surgical expertise at Franklin Square Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital.

He specializes in cancers of the pancreas, liver, stomach, colon and rectum, breast, as well as soft tissue sarcomas and melanoma.

He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, completed his general surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia and completed his fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He also serves as cancer liaison physician for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Additionally, he teaches our future surgeons as Associate Program Director of the general surgery residency program at MedStar Health Baltimore.

Vinay Gupta, MD, was named 2017 and 2018 "Top Doc" by Baltimore Magazine for surgical oncology.  He has consistently received excellent reviews from patients and his peers.
