About the Provider

Michelle M. Lally, PA-C, IBCLC, is a physician assistant at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Department of Otolaryngology.  Michelle completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at DeSales University in 2015 and has been working at the Georgetown ENT department ever since. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and The Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery (SPAO-HNS).

Michelle sees adult and pediatric patients with general ENT concerns, especially ear complaints including earache, ear infection, hearing loss, and dizziness/vestibular disorders. Her clinical interest is infant tongue ties, and she runs a Tongue Tie and Breastfeeding Clinic alongside our pediatric otolaryngologist Dr. Harley. Michelle furthered her education in the field and is additionally an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She and Dr. Harley continue to do research on the subject and have been recognized in the Washingtonian magazine Top Doctor issue in the 2018 and 2019 editions.

Michelle grew up in North Carolina and moved with her family to Colorado just before high school. She earned her undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After college, Michelle remained in Boulder as a medical assistant at Boulder Valley ENT which ignited her interest in the field of otolaryngology and prepared her for the demands of PA school. Michelle now lives in Alexandria with her husband and enjoys the outdoors, baking, and playing the piano and guitar. She will frequent trips to her hometowns, split between the beaches in North Carolina and snowboarding the Rockies in Colorado.
